Motivational Interviewing is the state - of -the - art response to dealing with people struggling with addictions.

 

Motivational Interviewing originally emerged in the field of addictions treatment as an alternative to traditional confrontational, authoritarian methods. Since inception, it has proven effective in a wide variety of settings involved in assisting people in making positive behavior changes. 



This is a great class for anyone interested in understanding how to help people struggling with an addiction. Clergy, counselors, nurses, addictions specialists are all welcome. CEU's available.

Thursday, May 24, 2012  --  MI Intro Part 2

Thursday, June 7, 2012  --  MI Intro Part 3:

All workshops will be from 9—11:45 a.m.
